2-11. Double-Feed Detection Function Setting
Set double-feed detecting according to the paper used for collation.
At shipment, this will be set to all paper feed bins “thin paper”.
Double-Feed Detection Function
If towers are connected, set for each tower individually.
The location of double-feed sensor and double-feed detecting area are as follows:
50 mm

16 mm
0.63 inch
25 to 50 mm
0.98 to 1.97 inches

• The length of the part marked with [A] differs according to the paper size.
• If there is dark printing at the double-feed detection position on the printed side, or printing
is uneven or deviated from its actual position, the double-feed detection function may not
function properly.

Select the SETTINGS menu.
• In normal operations, set thin paper in
double-feed detection settings.
• If double-feed occurs even though it does
not occur during presettings and normal
operations, set to thick paper.
• If settings have been changed to some-
thing other than OFF, perform presettings
again.

Set the double-feed detection function according to the paper thickness (thin paper ( )
or thick paper ( )).
When setting to OFF, double-feed is not detected even if it occurs.
