Chapter 2 Basic Operation
To performing double-feed detection according to the paper in each paper
feed bin

Touch of double-feed detection.
The Individual Double-Feed Detection Setting
screen will be displayed.

Set the double-feed detection function
to thin paper (
) or thick paper ( ) for
each paper feed bin used.
Settings changed will be memorized.

Return to the SETTINGS menu at .
2-12. Paper Feed Error Detection Function Setting
Set the paper feed error detection according to the paper used for collation.
At shipment, this will be set to all paper feed bins "ON".
If towers are connected, set for each tower individually.

Select the SETTINGS menu.
• Set to "ON" in normal operations.
• If settings have been changed to some-
thing other than "OFF", perform presettings
again.

Set the paper feed error detection.
• If set to OFF, double-feed, miss feed, and
paper jam may go undetected.
• Presetting in the off state reduces the
processing speed.
