16.3.3 Cleaning the filter element

To clean the filter element:
1. Disconnect the machine from the compressed air supply.
2. Drain the water condensation ( p. 80).
3. Loosen the water separator (2).
4. Loosen the filter element (1).
5. Blow out the filter element (1) using a compressed air gun.
6. Wash out the filter tray using benzine.
7. Tighten the filter element (1).
8. Tighten the water separator (2).
9. Tighten the drain screw (3).
10. Connect the machine to the compressed air supply.
NOTICE
Damage to the paintwork from solvent-based cleaners!
Solvent-based cleaners damage the filter.
Use only solvent-free substances for washing out the filter tray.
(1) - Filter element
(2) - Water separator
(3) - Drain screw
