2.3.5. Power supply management software
Smart power software is used for online monitoring and management of the power supply device.
Please see Chapter 5 Communication Interface for other information.
2.4. Battery system
The battery system provides emergency backup power supply for short-time use to ensure the safety
operation upon blackout, power outage or any other power supply failure. The UPS uses the VRLA battery
in default conguration. If you intend to install other types of battery or use other energy storage devices,
please consult Eaton’s customer service engineer. Eaton 93PR UPS contains no battery, and supports
external battery only. Please see Chapter 8 Technical Parameters for the detailed battery specications.
2.5. Basic system conguration
UPS power ratings.
UPS cabinets can be connected in parallel to form a larger system. Parallel connection of 4 cabinets
is supported. In the case of more than 4 cabinets, please contact Eaton’s solution team for a power
distribution design.
