9.4 Replacing the battery
The controller has a lithium buffer battery of the type CR 2450 N, 3 V. In order to change the battery, it is
necessary to remove the controller from the system. In this case, the system is not controlled and monitored!
1.Disconnectcontrollerfromthepowersupply.Acknowledgealarminthehigherlevelcontrollerifnecessary.
2. Disconnect all plug connectors, remove controller from the mounting.
3. Undo six screws of the side panel.

Abatteryreplacementmayonlybeperformedbytrainedpersonneloratthefactorybythe
manufacturer! After opening, the device must be subjected to an insulation test!
Allplugconnectorsmayonlybeinsertedandremovedwhenthepower supply is disconnected.
Label connector if necessary before the removal and then detach.
Circuit boards may only be replaced when the power supply is disconnected. Always hold circuit
boards at the edge.
Observe ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) regulations!
After opening, the device must be subjected to an insulation test!
ATTENTION
Risk of false alarm! The removal of the controller from the CAN bus generates an error message in
thehigherlevelcontroller(system centre / store computer / operator terminal). Therefore, in addition to
the precautionary measures that directly concern the controller, consequences in the higher level
controllers / systems must also be taken into account.
