If the dry pumping system has an unplanned shut down, ensure that the cause of the
shutdo
wn is idened and reced before restarng. If in doubt, contact us.
Note:
The high‑temperature alarms on our dr
y pumping systems are dry pumping system
protecon trips and should be considered as an abnormal running condion. If a dry
pumping system has tripped due to any high‑temperature alarm it should be
invesgated and the reason for the alarm established. Once the fault has been remedied,
the dry pumping system should be le for a minimum of 30 minutes before aempng
to restart.
6.5 Emergency stop
Note:
The emergency st
op switch is not an electrical isolator.
The emergency stop controls can be operated in the user's control system if the
emergency stop circuit has been connected to the dry pumping system as described in
Connect to the emergency stop circuit on page 44.
When an emergency stop is selected:
▪ The dry pump is switched o.
6.6 R
estart the pump aer an emergency stop or automac shut down
Note:
If the dry pumping s
ystem has automacally shut down because of the high pump
power, check that the pump is free to rotate before restarng the dry pumping system.
Contact us.
If the emergency stop switch has been used to shut down the dry pumping system, the
emergency stop switch must be reset before the dry pumping system can be restarted. If
the run and stop switches are not ed, power o the pump for at least 1 minute then
restart the dry pumping system as described in Start up on page 50. If the run and stop
switches are ed, push the run switch to restart the pump.
If the dry pumping system has been automacally shut down because of an alarm
condion, the alarm condion must be reced before the dry pumping system can be
restarted. If the run and stop switches are not ed, power o the pump for at least
1 minute then restart the dry pumping system as described in Start up on page 50. If the
run and stop switches are ed, push the run switch to restart the pump. If the alarm
was caused by high pump temperatures, refer to Unplanned shut down and alarms on
page 52. Make sure that there is no issue with the cooling system and restart the dry
pumping system as described in Start up on page 50.
6.7 Dry pump clean
The high ow purge and the solvent ush kit is available to clean the pump mechanism
on applicaons where large quanes of dust and scky deposits are encountered. The
cleaning process is carried out without the need to remove the pump enclosure.
