Connecon of MODBUS communic
aon: Connect the controller to the drive
MODBUS-RTU interface by using mulple core cable.
Connecon of ‘General Shutdown’ signal: ma and mc are the normally open
contact (relay output) of the drive, for the capacity of the contact, refer to Table:
Electrical connecons. Use a single core cable (AWG18) to connect the controller
to 1X7:1 and 1X7:2.
Connecon of ‘Stator Warm Up Ready’ signal: p1 and c1 are the normally open
contact (photocoupler output) of the drive, for the capacity of the contact, refer to
Table: Electrical connecons. Use a single core cable (AWG18) to connect the
controller to 1X7:3 and 1X7:4.
Connecon of ‘Stator Temperature High Warning’ signal: p2 and c2 are the
normally open contact (photocoupler output) of the drive, for the capacity of the
contact, refer to Table: Electrical connecons. Use a single core cable (AWG18) to
connect the controller to 1X7:5 and 1X7:6.
5.5 Connect the dry pumping system to the vacuum/exhaust system
WARNING:
Pipe the exhaus
t to a suitable treatment plant to prevent the discharge of dangerous
gases or vapours to the surrounding atmosphere.
WARNING:
Do not opera
te the dry pumping system with the exhaust pipeline blocked. If the
exhaust pipeline is blocked, the dry pumping system can generate exhaust pipeline
pressures of up to 10 bar (10 x 10
5
Pa). Note that a pressure spike up to a maximum
15 bar (15 x 10
5
Pa) can be generated in the exhaust pipeline for less than
0.5 seconds if the inlet is instantaneously exposed to atmospheric pressure when the
pump is running and the exhaust is blocked.
WARNING:
Do not touch the pump e
xhaust and check‐valve (if ed) while the pump is running
since the temperatures of these parts cause burns. These parts will remain hot aer
the pump has stopped.
CAUTION:
The dry pumping systems have a maximum connuous exhaust line pressure limit.
Operaon above the limit may damage the pumping mechanism.
The light duty dry pumping systems do not have an exhaust pressure sensor. The
maximum connuous exhaust line pressure of these dry pumping systems should not
exceed 0.2 barg.
For all pumps, it is your responsibility to provide an exhaust system with sucient
conductance to ensure the exhaust pressure limit is not normally exceeded.
