4.0 Pro 16h Printer Installation Checklist
The Pro 16h Wide Format Ink Jet Printer is a 1.5 meter wide printer requiring a methodical installation process. Begin each
installation by completing each item on this checklist. Installation procedures are outlined in Chapter 3,
Pro 16h Printer
Installation Procedures.
4.1 Installation Requirements
Please follow these guidelines for a successful printer installation.
• Verify customer has a copy of the Customer Support Information Guide.

• Print this Checklist and complete during installation.
• Obtain customer’s signature, bottom of checklist.
4.2 Site Preparation
____ Verify facility AC Voltages are within Engineering specifications using a multi-meter, but DO NOT CONNECT UNTIL LATER.

____ Test air quality using procedures outlined at http://inkjet.support.efi.com/doc.php?doc=1804.
Important! If air quality specification is not met, contact your manager.
____ Verify ventilation system or proper HVAC system is installed.
____ Record site temperature _____°C /°F
Important! Temperature must be between 68° F - 86° F (20° C - 30° C). If specification is not met, contact your manager.
____ Record site relative humidity (RH) ______%
Important! RH must be between 30% and 80%, (non-condensing). If specification is not met, contact your manager.
4.3 Delivery
____ Inspect outside of crate and/or plastic packaging for visible damage. All printers are shipped on a reclaimable pallet and
wrapped in plastic; printers shipped by container (e.g., overseas delivery) will also have a crate surrounding the pallet.
____ Verify rigging equipment (forklift) is available and rated to lift printer based on weights listed in Pro 16h Printer Specifications
document.
Caution! If lifting end of pallet with a forklift, do not allow pallet to slide off fork ends and drop to the ground. Connect
chains to the drag eyelets for safety. Refer to the HS1650 Printer Specifications for printer dimensions and
weights and ensure the fork lift truck has the capacity to lift the printer.
