Upgrading Your Legend Using Flashmaster
Software
Your Legend EX system is capable of having its operation firmware upgraded
through the parallel port or Ethernet network connection. To accomplish this Epilog
uses a software application called FlashMaster to transfer a new version of firmware
from your computer to your Legend EX. Legend EX users can use this feature to
periodically update their Legend EX when new features become available or when
enhancements to existing firmware is released. FlashMaster allows the user to
incorporate these features into their own machines at their own convenience.
Legend EX firmware upgrades are available for at any time by downloading the
firmware file from the Epilog web site - www.epiloglaser.com/downloads_extt.htm or
via e-mail.
Upgrading your Legend for the first time is a three-step process:
1. Install FlashMaster onto your computer – FlashMaster is the program that
allows you to download the upgrades from your computer to your Legend and
can be downloaded from the Epilog web site
www.epiloglaser.com/legendfirmware.htm.
Note: If you already have FlashMaster installed on your computer you can skip
step one.
