Section 8: Using the Epilog Legend Systems

PSI is adequate. Do not use gas other than air when using the Air Assist option.
Never use Oxygen with the Air Assist option.
Installed Options
This selection lists the installed options.
Rotary: The “ROTARY” option allows you to mark or engrave cylindrical objects.
This menu item designates either installed by displaying YES or not installed by
displaying NO.
Air Assist: The “AIR ASSIST” option allows for deeper engraving and cutting than
would otherwise be possible. This menu item designates either installed by
displaying YES or not installed by displaying NO.
Auto Focus: The “AUTO FOCUS” system on the Legend uses a magnetically
activated plunger to determine the proper distance from the work piece to the focus
lens. This menu item designates either installed by displaying YES or not installed by
displaying NO.
Double Head: The “DOUBLE HEAD” option allows you to mark or cut one job
onto two pieces of material at the same time with a split laser beam. This menu item
designates either installed by displaying YES or not installed by displaying NO.
Language: The Legend machine’s LCD display can be set to display different
languages. To change or set the LANGUAGE using the ARROWS to highlight
LANGUAGE under the OPTIONS menu heading. Press ENTER then use the
ARROWS to highlight the preferred language and press ENTER.
Networking: The Legend can be connected to your computer using a standard
10Base-T Ethernet card. Set all network addresses in this selection. Refer to the
“Network Connections” section (Section 4) in this manual to establish network
capabilities.
Save Settings:
SAVE SETTINGS allows you to permanently save laser parameters
that you have made using the LCD menu commands. Changes that are not saved with
the SAVE SETTINGS command will return to their original default position upon
power down.
