Double Head
Installation
Locate the components for the Double head option.
¾ Connecting strut
1. Beam Splitter/Lens Assembly
2. With the machine off, open the door and slowly pull the “X” beam assembly to
the front of the machine to where it is a comfortable reach.
3. Move the secondary bearing block away from its “Park” position towards the
middle of the X-beam. Put the beam splitter/lens assembly up against the
second bearing block using the locating pins as guides and tighten the slotted
holding screw.
4. Space the primary and secondary heads about 16 inches (406 mm) apart, and
place the connecting strut between the heads. Align the thumbscrews in the end
of the strut with the holes on the carriages, and tighten the thumbscrews.
5. When you are finished using the Double Head, turn the machine off, disconnect
the strut and remove the beam splitter/lens assembly. “Park” the bearing block
at the far right side of the bearing rail.
