Error messages
The VIO 50 C/VIO 100 C can identify various operating and system errors during op-
eration. An error number is assigned to each error that appears on the display when
the error occurs.
Operating error messages
The user can normally eliminate or prevent an operating error with simple measures.
No. Description Action
1 The unit was activated longer than the maximum ON
time set. Activation has been stopped automatically.
Reactivate the unit.
2 The connection between the neutral electrode and the
unit is interrupted or the dual surface neutral elec
-
trode has insufficient contact with the skin.
Check the connection to the unit. If errors occur
despite the correct connection, check the skin contact
(see page
54).
3 The unit was activated without confirming the visible
settings.
Use any button to confirm the visible settings.
Reactivate the unit.
4 The CUT power limitation of the activated mode is set
to 0
watts (display: --).
Note: The text "max. Watts" flashes on the display of
the CUT power limitation during and after the error
message.
Set CUT power limitation to a value greater than
0
watts.
5 The COAG power limitation of the activated mode is
set to 0
watts (display: --).
Note: The text "max. Watts" flashes on the display of
the COAG power limitation during and after the error
message.
Set COAG power limitation to a value greater than
0
watts.
6 The unit was activated while a button on the front
panel was pressed.
Only activate the unit when no button is pressed.
Complete changes to unit settings before activating
the unit.
8 2 switches (footswitch and/or instrument switch)
have been pressed simultaneously.
Only press one switch.
9 The footswitch is not assigned to any socket.
Note: The footswitch symbol and the text "OFF"
flashes on the display of the activation type during
and after the error message.
Assign footswitch to required socket (see page 60).
