B.1 2-Stroke and 4-Stroke Welding Process Illustrated
Striking the arc with the LiftArc function:
Step 1: the electrode is touched on to the work piece.
Step 2: the trigger switch is pressed, and a low current starts to flow.
Step 3: the welder lifts the electrode from the work piece; the arc strikes, and the current rises automatically to
the set value.
The trigger is used and some current flows already when lifting away the electrode to strike it.
