6.12 REMOVING/INSTALLING/ADJUSTING WIRE-FEED GUIDES
There are three wire-feed guide tubes: Input Wire-Guide Tube, Center Wire-Guide Tube and
Output Wire-Guide Tube. The Input Wire-Guide Tube and the Center Wire-Guide Tube are
standard parts for all wire types/sizes, so they are not mentioned here. This procedure
addresses the removal/installation and then adjustment of the Output Wire-Guide Tube.
The gas does not need to be connected for this
The OUTPUT WIRE-GUIDE TUBE must be selected to
match the size that corresponds with the wire size and
type (steel or aluminum) selected for use.
This Section requires that the wire-feed rollers have
been removed to provide access to the wire-guides.
Perform wire-feed roller removal and, later in this
procedure, roller install steps. See Section 6.11
REMOVING/INSTALLING WIRE-FEED ROLLERS when
referred in the steps below.
