Safety
Before installing an Extreme Networks power supply, read the safety information in Appendix A. See
Appendix A also for additional information regarding regulatory compliance certifications.
For central DC power connections, the 1200 W DC power supply is intended to be installed only in
restricted access locations (dedicated equipment rooms, equipment closets, or the like) in accordance with Articles
110-16, 110-17, and 110-18 of the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA-70. All wiring methods involving the DC input
cable assembly must be performed according to the relevant articles of the National Electrical Code.
Field operators must not attempt to open the power supply enclosure for any reason; the power supply
does not contain user-serviceable parts. In the event of failure, return the defective power supply to Extreme
Networks for repair or replacement.
