Checking the valve functions
Manual override
WARNING
Before operating the manual override:
• Disconnect the operating voltage supply to the
valve solenoid coils by unplugging the contact
(IC, MP AS-i or CP connection).
You then avoid undesired actuation of the valve
solenoid coils.
• Before applying the operating voltage, make sure
that all manual overrides are set again at their
basic positions.
You then avoid undefined switching states of the
valves.
You should use the manual override principally when
commissioning the pneumatic system, in order to check
the functioning and effectiveness of the valve or valve-
cylinder combination.
By actuating the manual override, you can switch the
valve without an electrical signal. Only the compressed
air supply need be switched on.
