MAINTENANCE
The faulty component
is
replaced, and then the
instrument is recalibrated
using
Calibration Adjustments in Section
4C of this manual (if
necessary). The Performance
Tests explained in Section 4A of this
manual are used to verify
the Generator
performance after repair
or
recalibration of the
Generator.
Some assemblies have
some non-field-replaceable
parts. These parts, if replaced,
would
invalidate
the calibration EPROM
associated
with that assembly. They
are the Output
(A2A4), the VCO
(A2A2),
and the Attenuator/
RPP (A2A5) assemblies.
Non-field-
replaceable
parts are listed in the
appropriate parts lists at the
bottom
of that list.
In the event that a non-field-replaceable
part is defective
(about
10%
of the parts are not
field-replaceable), it is necessary
for the module to
be replaced using the Module
Exchange Program in
order
to realize a complete
recalibration
of that
module and
its
associated
EPROM.
Section 7 lists the
national
and international
Sales Representatives
and Service Centers.
