5-5. RS-422 Settings (MFR-16DTIO)
The RS-422 Settings page is available for the MFR-5000/8000 main unit only.
Refer to the "MFR-5000 or MFR-8000 Operation Manual" for details on RS-422 Data I/O cards.
5-5-1. RS-422 Communication Settings
The Slot Status table at left displays the list of MFR-16DTIO card locations.
(A warning message appears if an MFR-16DTIO card is installed in an invalid slot.)
Refer to the table below to perform RS-422 communication settings.
Alternative source channel.
RS-422 systems require one-to-one (destination to source) assignments.
Therefore, if a source has been assigned to a destination (D1) and another
destination (D2) selects the source, the Alternative Source is forcibly
assigned to the first destination (D1).
Two routing paths are available for routing within a card.
Signals are routed through the Matrix card.
Fastest and minimum routing.
(Available when input and output ports are on the same
card.
Switching Mode should be OFF.)
If the mode is enabled (ON), RS-422 data are arranged into an 8-bit data unit
to prevent data loss or corruption during switching. In such case, a Data rate,
Parity and Stop bit should be set for all communications transferred across
the card.
Data Rate: Setting range: 2,400 bps to 115,200 bps.
Parity: Select from None, Odd or Even.
Stop Bit. Select 1-bit or 2-bit.
