7.13. Emergency descent procedure
In the case of a system defect preventing operation of the platform, proceed to a manual
emergency descent. Follow the following instructions:
Connect the emergency descent levers (1) in the threaded holes of the engine brakes (2).
Push one of the levers to the MAXIMUM position. Keep this lever completely pushed.
Carefully push the second lever to let the platform descend by gravity. Important! Alternate
the pressure on the second lever to avoid excessive descent speed. A speed greater than
85 ft/min (24 m/min) will trigger the emergency centrifugal brake, leading to the complete stop
of the unit.

When ground level is reached, evacuate the platform and contact a certified technician.
Warning! The brake lever must never be used to lower the platform during operation. This
system is intended for emergency use only.
