Optional Components
The following table shows the optional components available. To purchase these
options, contact our Customer Support Center.
Product Name Description
DADF Feeds multiple sheets of paper to the machine one by one.
Finisher-A1 Staples output sheets.
Finisher-B1 Staples output sheets.
Booklet Maker Unit for

Staples output sheets. Also creases output sheets in half or
staples them.
US 2/3 Hole Punch Kit for

2/3 hole-punches output sheets.
The distance between the two holes made with the US 2/3
Hole Punch Kit (US standard) is 70 mm, which is different from
the 80 mm distance made with the 2/4 Hole Punch Kit.
2/4 Hole Punch Kit for

2/4 hole-punches output sheets.
HDD Extension Kit Provides the extended copy features and adds the spool and
scan features.
Note • For information on how to install the HDD Extension Kit
to the machine, refer to "Installing the HDD Extension Kit
(Optional)" (P.597).
Extension System Memory
(2 GB)
Increases the system memory. This is replaced with the
standard 1 GB memory, which increases the system memory
by 1 GB.
Note • Commercially available memory cannot be used for the
machine. Be sure to use the optional extension memory
we provide, or we cannot guarantee proper operation of
the machine if a problem occurs. For information on how
to install the Extension System Memory (2 GB) to the
machine, refer to "Installing the Extension System
Memory (2 GB) (Optional)" (P.599).
Searchable PDF Kit Allows you to use optical character recognition (OCR) when
scanning. OCR is only available for monochrome binary
scanning.
Note • The Scanner Kit and HDD Extension Kit are required to
use this feature.
Adobe PostScript 3 Kit Allows you to use the machine as a PostScript printer. Also
enables printing from Macintosh.
If you perform printing in high resolution mode when this
Adobe PostScript 3 Kit is installed to the machine, it is
recommended that you install the Extension System Memory
(2 GB) to the machine.
Annotation Kit Allows you to copy with comments and page numbers.
Note • The HDD Extension Kit is required to use this feature.
Data Security Kit Enhances the security of data written to the hard disk.
Note • The HDD Extension Kit is required to use this feature.
Scanner Kit Adds the Scan feature to the machine.
Note • The HDD Extension Kit is required to use this feature.
