2.11.3 Track recording interval
Tracks are recorded at specified time or distance intervals to the internal memory of
this unit.
A shorter interval gives a smoother, clearly reconstructed track, however the overall
distance/time that can be recorded is shorter.
When the positioning data source is set to SC-30, or the internal GPS antenna (TZ-
TL12F/15F only) is used, the following occurs:
tracks are plotted at very short intervals for five minutes immediately behind your
vessel, regardless of the recording interval selected, to give you a more accurate
and smooth track.
track plotting reverts to the selected interval after the five minutes pass, or if record-
ing is stopped within the first five minutes.
For time-based intervals
1. Open the home screen, then tap [Settings] - [Ship & Track].
2. Tap [Track Interval][Time], then tap "<" to go back one layer.
3. Tap [Time Interval].
4. Tap a time interval.
5. Tap the close button to finish.
For distance-based intervals
1. Open the home screen, then tap [Settings] - [Ship & Track].
2. Tap [Track Interval][Distance], then tap "<" to go back one layer.
3. Tap [Distance Interval]. The software keyboard appears.
4. Input the desired interval, then tap [].
5. Tap the close button to finish.
