6.1.1 Checks before starting work
Check at least once a day for externally recognisable damage and de-
fects. - Report any changes or malfunctions detected immediately to the
company management or its authorised representative. If necessary,
shutdown and secure the scaffolding lift immediately.
• Carry out a test run and check that the complete travel path is clear.
The scaffolding lift must immediately stop when
− The EMERGENCY STOP button is pressed.
− The overload equipment is activated.
− The slack rope switch has switched off.
Checking the limit switch, refer to Chapter 5.5
• During the test run, check the wire rope for signs of damage and
wear.
• Check the mains supply cable and control lines for signs of damage
