7.2.1 Firmware back-up
The printer rmware tab lets you make a copy of the rmware security of the plotter or update the rmware from
another le. Make a backup copy of the rmware security before updating the rmware, so you can revert to the
backup if needed.
To perform a backup:

Click the ellipsis (...) button to open the FW UP dialog
box.

If the plotter is turned on and connected to Server Man-
ager, click the backup icon to transfer the plotter rm-
ware to the computer and create a le in the selected
location.

Click Save to open the original Printer Manager dialog
box.

In the FW UP dialog box, choose the location where
you want to save a copy of the rmware security. As-
sign a name to the le (in this case, backup.bin).
