Interfaces
Points of interaction between hardware and software
components. This lets a component function indepen-
dently while using interfaces to communicate with other
components.
GERBER Ultra
Ink level control: reduces ink consumption and allows
inkjet head cleaning and parking.
Server Manager
Program that manages one or more plotters, their con-
nections, and tasks.
One-Step Print
One step auto-install function for small groups or indi-
vidual users.
Plotter initialization process
Checks carried out by the plotter during start up. The
plotter display shows the possible errors found along
with the unique identication number associated with
each machine (used when conguring multiple plotters).
Port
Communications endpoint in a computer’s operating
system. A port is associated with an IP address of the
host, as well as the type of protocol used for communi-
cation.
RFID (Radio-frequency identication)
Wireless system that uses radio frequency to transfer
data from a tag attached to an object, for automatic iden-
tication and tracking.
Software
Computer programs and related data that instruct a com-
puter what to do and how to do it.
User Manager
A program that allows you to send jobs to one or more
plotters controlled by Server Manager.
