When using an external headset (not provided), sound to the speaker will be cut o.
8-2 COMMUNICATION PORT (3.5 mm Jack)
To observe the waveform in high resolution on a PC monitor or to store the waveform and numerical
data into a computer for future reference, or to create a report of standardized testing modules.
1. Connect the Smartdop
®
30EX to your computer using the dedicated communication cable
(optional).
2. Press the Power button to turn the unit on.
3. Install and open the Smart-V-Link
®
communication software (optional) on your computer.

9. MAINTENANCE
PERFORMANCE CHECK
Perform the following performance check at least once a year.
1. Make sure there is no damage to the unit or any of its components.
2. Turn the Doppler o and connect the AC adaptor and probe.
3. Turn the Doppler on and make sure the LCD works properly.
4. Install printer paper and make sure the printer works properly by printing a waveform.
5. Rub the probe tip and check for a waveform on the LCD and sounds from the speaker.
6. Check battery level. See 4-2 Checking the Battery Level for details.
CAUTION
Make sure all cables are property connected and there are no obstructions to any
external connections to the patient, before use.
