Interpreting the Results
Observe pressure di󰀨erences between adjacent cu󰀨 sites on the same leg. Pressure
di󰀨erences between cu󰀨 sites are used to localize the disease.
Pressure di󰀨erences between two adjacent levels of less than 20 mmHg is considered normal
within limits.
NOTE
Lower extremity & ankle systolic pressures may be falsely elevated in patients with calcied/
non-compressible arteries (i.e. diabetes mellitus) and should be compared with Doppler
waveform analysis.
