Discs you can create with “PMH”
Standard denition image quality (STD) movie converted from high de-
nition image quality (HD) movie can be recorded on DVD media, such as
DVD-R discs, and a standard image quality (STD) disc is created.

You can use 12 cm discs of following type with “PMH.” For Blu-ray Disc, see page 186.
• Always maintain your PlayStation®3 to use the latest version of the PlayStation®3 system soware.
• e PlayStation®3 may not be available in some countries/regions.
A Blu-ray Disc enables you to record high denition image quality (HD)
movies of a longer duration than DVD discs.
High denition image quality (HD) movie can be recorded on DVD media,
such as DVD-R discs, and a high denition image quality (HD) disc is cre-
ated.
• You can play a high denition image quality (HD) disc on AVCHD format
playback devices, such as a Sony Blu-ray Disc player and a PlayStation®3.
You cannot play the disc on ordinary DVD players.
