TEST EVERY TWO YEARS In Germany, regular inspections every two years must be carried out
in accordance with the requirements of the federal emission limits (1.
BImschV).
BEFORE THE TEST
1. Clean the heating system completely about 2-3 days prior to the
test.

system”, section “7.1 Cleaning and maintenance schedule”.
2. Check that the lambda sensor is securely mounted and tighten it
if necessary.

ON THE DAY OF THE TEST
Once the chimney sweep has completed the preparations for the
test:
1. Press the Mode button repeatedly until the Chimney sweep test
symbol flashes.
✓ The operating mode Chimney sweep test is preselected.
2. Press the Enter button.
✓ The operating mode Chimney sweep test is confirmed.
✓ The Chimney sweep test symbol lights up.
✓ The heating system switches to Chimney sweep test mode.
✓ If the HDG Hydronic is connected, all of the loads will automati-
cally be activated to maximise the heat transfer.
✓ The display will show No test yet.
Caution!
Material damage and injury due to incorrect chimney sweep test
The chimney sweep test requires comprehensive technical know-
ledge.
Only permit authorised specialists to perform the chimney sweep
test.
