7 Cleaning and servicing the heating system – Requirements

CHECKING AND CLEANING THE TILTING GRATE
1. Set the control to the operating mode OFF.
The OFF symbol lights up.
2. Allow the fire in the heating system to burn out and cool down.
3. Turn the main switch off.
7. Remove any encrustations with a suitable cleaning utensil or
empty the grate in manual operation.
See chapter “5 Commissioning the system”, section
“5.2 Procedure”, paragraph “Checking the actuators in manual
operation”.
8. After cleaning, close the combustion chamber door (2) and the
front door (1) of the boiler.
9. Switch the heating system on again.
See the chapter entitled “6 Using the heating system”, section
“6.2 Switching on the heating system”.
The tilting grate is cleaned.
CHECKING AND EMPTYING THE ASH CONTAINER

4. Open the front door (1) of the
boiler.
5. Open the combustion
chamber door (2).
6. Inspect the grate (3) for en-
crustations of cinder or for-
eign bodies.
