7 Cleaning and servicing the heating system – Requirements

CHECKING AND EMPTYING THE
ASH PAN (WITHOUT ASH
REMOVAL SYSTEM)
1. Set the control to the operating mode OFF.
The OFF symbol lights up.
2. Allow the fire in the heating system to burn out and cool down.
3. Turn the main switch off.
4. Reach into the recessed grips (4 + 6) and pull the cover of the ash
module (5) off the shaped studs.
5. Lift the cover of the ash module (5) out of the holders on the base
plate.
6. Unscrew the star-grip screws (2) and open the ash doors for the
combustion chamber ash (3).
7. Pull out the ash pan (1).
8. Empty the ash (1) into a fireproof container.
9. Reinsert the ash pan (1) and lock the ash doors in the reverse se-
quence.
10.Repeat the procedure described above for the fly ash pan.
11.Place the cover of the ash module (5) on the boiler.
12.Switch the heating system on again.

The ash pans have been checked and emptied.
Caution!
Danger of fire from combustion residues
Hot combustion residues can lead to a fire.
Allow the ash to cool and place it only in a suitable fireproof con-
tainer.
