Maintenance and Service
10.1 Repair, Inspection, and Cleaning
WARNING
Do not attempt to modify, disassemble, or try to repair
the instrument. Doing so may cause a re, electric
shock, or injury.
Calibration
The calibration period varies with the conditions and environment
of use. It is recommended to determine a calibration period based
on those factors and to have the instrument regularly calibrated by
Hioki.
Precautions for Transportation
Be sure to follow these precautions when transporting the
instrument:
Remove the LR6 Alkaline batteries from the instrument in order to
avoid damage. Additionally, be sure to double box the instrument.
Accidental damage su󰀨ered in transit is not covered by the
warranty.
Attach a description of the issue when sending out your
instrument for repair.
Cleaning
If the instrument becomes dirty, wipe the instrument clean with a
soft cloth moistened with water or a neutral detergent. Wipe the
display gently with a soft, dry cloth.
Never use solvents such as benzene, alcohol, acetone, ether,
ketone, thinners or gasoline. Doing so could deform and discolor the
instrument.
