AC Four-Terminal Method Measurement
If one of the following resistances increases, the instrument can no
longer normally ow current to the object under measurement:
• Wire resistance of test lead
• Contact resistance between the object under measurement and
test lead
• Contact resistance between the test lead and instrument
In such cases, the instrument will fail to perform measurement and
show the [−−−−] segments as the resistance readout. For more
information on measurement errors, see “Measurement error”
(p. 65).
