1. Check that forward/reverse lever (1) and forward/reverse
switch (7) are in the neutral (N) position and that neutral
lock (2) is in the lock position. Unless both forward/re-
verse lever (1) and forward/reverse switch (7) are in their
neutral (N) positions, the engine will not start.
NOTE: Unless both forward/reverse lever (1) and forward/re
-
verse switch (7) are in neutral (N), the engine will not
start. To ensure safe operation, after turning forward/
reverse selector switch (8) OFF, start the engine.
2. Check that parking brake switch (3) is in the ON position
and that parking brake indicator (4) is ON.
3. Check that both bucket control lever (5) and lift arm con

trol lever (6) are in their neutral positions.
