NOTE: Be sure to replace the engine oil filter when changing
the engine oil at the same time.
1. Clean the areas around the oil filter.
2. Before remove the oil filter (1), loosen drain plug (2) to
drain oil from the oil filter. The oil is drained through the
drain hose. After draining the oil, tighten the drain plug.
3. Remove the oil filter (1) from filter head with a filter
wrench.
4. Fill the oil filter with clean engine oil.
5. After coating a new oil filter gasket with engine oil, turn
the oil filter until the gasket comes in contact with the
sealing surface. Take care that if the oil filter is excessively
tightened, the oil filter may be deformed.
NOTE: Install the oil filter with care so that the gasket is not
damaged due to twist. Check for any oil leakage at the
filter mounting area.
