Connect the N4680 Scan Engine to a PC
The N4680 scan engine can connect to a PC for evaluation using an interface
board.
Connect with USB
1. Turn off power to the terminal/computer.
2. If using full-speed USB, connect the USB interface cable to the interface board
and to the matching USB port on the computer.
3. Verify the scan engine operation by scanning a bar code from the Sample
Symbols in the back of this manual. The scan engine beeps once when a bar
code is successfully decoded.
Note: The default interface is USB Keyboard (PC). If you change to USB Serial, you will need
to install the USB driver. See "USB Serial" on page 2-9.
