The following independentnavigation sensors are interfaced with the
symbol generators via ARINC 429:
● VOR
G ILS/MLS
● DME
● ADF
● LASEI?TRAK’”(optional)
. TCAS (optional)
(a) VOR
The VOR navigation sensors provide the symbol generators with
bearing and frequency information for display. The
symbol
generators generate lateral deviation for both display and
transmission
on the ASCB.
(b) ILS/MLS
The
ILS navigation sensors provide the symbol generators with
lateral deviation, vertical deviation, and frequency
information for display.
The symbol generator transmits
lateral and vertical deviation to the FZ-820 Flight Guidance
Computer
over the ASCB.
(c) DME
The DME sensors provide distance and frequency information
for
display. Distance information is transmitted over the ASCB for
utilization by the FZ-820 Flight Guidance Computers.
(d) ADF
The ADF
sensors provide the symbol generators with bearing and
frequency information for display purposes
only.
(e) LASERTRAKW
The LASERTRAKN Navigation Display Unit may be configured to
provide additional outputs for display purposes only.
(f) TCAS
The optional TCAS Computer provides the symbol generators with
traffic advisories, resolution advisories, performance
resolution advisories, and map data for display.
(9) PZ-800 Performance Computer Interface
The PZ-800 Performance Computer provides autothrottle mode status
and priority select information.
