Connecting the Support Management Station for LAN (Private and Customer) and Console Access

If the LAN software on the SMS GSP is working properly, it should say “LAN status: UP and
RUNNING.” The value in the “IP address field has been set at the factory. Get the SMS LAN IP
address from the customer.
Step 3. Enter y.
The current IP address is shown; then the following prompt appears: Do you want to modify it?
(Y/[N])
Step 4. Enter y.
Step 5. Enter the new IP address.
The customer should provide this address for the SMS Console LAN.
Step 6. Confirm the new address.
Step 7. Enter the SMS GSP Network Name.
You can use any name you like. The name can be as many as 64 characters, and include alpha
numerics, - (dash), _ (under bar), . (period), or a space.
Step 8. Enter other LAN parameters.
This information should come from the customer.
Step 9. To check the LAN parameters and status, enter the ls command at the SMS GSP Command Menu
prompt (GSP:CM>).
