Preparations
Tools: Phillips screwdriver, hex key, step ladder (2 m)
Material: spare magnetic lock
Documents required: none
Skill requirement: weak-current engineer
Procedure
Step 1 Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen screws from the baffle plate of the magnetic lock and
remove the baffle plate, as shown by 1 in Figure 5-31.

Step 2 Remove the terminals connected to the faulty magnetic lock.
Step 3 Use a hex key to remove the screw under the electronic lock and remove the faulty electronic
lock, as shown by 2 and 3 in Figure 5-31.
Step 4 Install a new magnetic lock and connect the terminals.
Step 5 Reinstall the baffle plate.
Step 6 Check that the new magnetic lock is working properly.
