Dismantling
1. Remove the engine cover. For more information,
refer to “5.1.1 Covers” on page 18.
2. Remove the battery, see “5.3.3 Battery” on
page 34.
NOTE: Hold the battery cable screws in place so
that the electrodes are not strained.
3. Remove the cable between the starter relay and
the starter.
4. Mark and remove the electrical connectors from
the engine.
5. Remove the clips that hold the throttle cable.
Unhook the cable from their attachments on the
carburettor casing.
6. Remove the hose clamp on the fuel hose by the
fuel pump and pull the fuel hose downwards.
Suspend the hose to stop fuel leaking.
7. Remove the heat plates.
8. Loosen the exhaust clamp and the 4 fastenings
screws on the muer. Then remove the muer
and the exhaust pipe.
9. Remove the belt guide for the engine belt pulley
10. Push tool no. 506 56 76-01 into the centre of the
engine pulley. Loosen and remove the Allen
screw that holds the belt pulley and engine
together. Use tool 506 89 92-01 to counter.
Loosen the belt pulley from the engine shaft.
