1� Select the Memory mode�
2� Set the operating mode�
3� Display the SCAN screen�

4� Touch [MEMO] for 1 second�
5� Touch “MODE SELECT SCAN�”
• The Mode Select scan starts�
L When a signal is detected, the scan pauses
according to the “SCAN Resume” setting, and then
resumes�
L To cancel the scan, touch [MEMO]�
6� To close the SCAN screen, push �

∂F scan and Fine ∂F scan
Repeatedly scans within the ∂F span area� The scan
starts from the center frequency�

L In a Fine scan (Programmed or ∂F), the scan speed
decreases when the squelch opens, but the transceiver
keeps scanning� The scan tuning step changes to 10 Hz
when the squelch opens�
D ∂F scan operation
1� Set the center frequency�
2� Set the operating mode and tuning step�
(Example: FM, 1 kHz)
L You can also change these settings while scanning�
3� Display the SCAN screen�

4� Touch [∂F SPAN] several times to select the span�
• Each touch changes the span�
5� Touch [∂F]�
• The ∂F scan starts�
L When a signal is detected, the scan pauses according
to the “SCAN Resume” setting, and then resumes�
L To turn the TS function to scan by the frequency step
setting, touch the 100 kHz digit on the frequency readout�
L To cancel the scan, touch [∂F] again�
6� To switch to the Fine ∂F scan, touch [FINE]�
