1. Observe t h e precaut ions in "Before You Begin" ( see page 23) .
2. Turn off all peripheral devices connect ed t o the com puter. Disconnect t he
com put er’s power cord from t he AC power source (w all outlet or pow er adapter) .
3. Rem ove the com puter cov er.
4. Locat e the bat t ery on t he board ( see Figure 15) .
5. Push t he bat t ery r et ent ion clip aside and rem ove t he bat t ery from the connect or as
shown in Figure 15. Not e t he orientation of t he “+ ” and “- ” on t he bat t ery.
6. I nstall the new bat t ery in t he connect or, m aking sure to orient the “+ ” and “ - ”
corr ect ly.
7. Replace the com put er cov er.
