4.2.1 Extended Configuration Submenu
To access this submenu, select Maintenance on the menu bar, then Extended Configuration.

Extended Configuration
The submenu represented by Table 64 is for setting video memory cache mode. This submenu
becomes available when User Defined is selected under Extended Configuration.

User Defined allows setting memory control and video
memory cache mode. If selected here, will also display in
the Advanced Menu as: “Extended Menu: Used.”
Video Memory Cache
Mode

Selects Uncacheable Speculative Write-Combining
(USWC) video memory cache mode. Full 32 byte contents
of the Write Combining buffer are written to memory as
required. Cache lookups are not performed. Both the
video driver and the application must support Write
Combining.
Selects UnCacheable (UC) video memory cache mode.
This setting identifies the video memory range as
uncacheable by the processor. Memory writes are
performed in program order. Cache lookups are not
performed. Well suited for applications not supporting
Write Combining.
