Installing the Printer
Plugging in the Printer
1 Make sure the Power Switch is turned off.
2 Connect the power cable to the printer.
3 Plug the power cable into your electrical outlet.
Installing the PD41: Stepwise instructions
Fingerprint and IPL
Your PD41 printer is equipped with Fingerprint or IPL
(Intermec Programming Language) firmware. This affects the
functionality of the printer and, to a certain extent, how you
interact with it. In this manual you will come across information
that applies exclusively to either firmware, so it is strongly
recommended that you familiarize yourself enough with your
PD41 to know whether it runs Fingerprint or IPL. The easiest
way to to do is to print a test label (see “Printing a Test Label” on
page 10)
