The pump swash plate is tilted by the control pedal linkage
causing flow to pass to the motor feed B and the machine
moves in reverse.
Pressure is also fed to the motor shuttle valve Ma causing
it to move to connect the back pressure relief valve Mb to
the return side of the loop circuit. This prevents excessive
pressure building up in the return line.
Return oil from the motor flows back into the transmission
pump through port A. Any excess oil from the pump casing
is fed back to tank via cooler C.
Motor feed pressure is controlled by high pressure relief
valve Pc. Non-return valve Pe is closed preventing motor
feed pressure from being fed back into the charge circuit.
Charge pump P2 continues to maintain oil within the
system via non-return valve Pd.
