Main Relief Valve Operation
The Main Relief Valve is located in the inlet section of the
excavator valve block.
When the pressure in the supply line A is below the setting
of the relief valve the valve spool B remains on its seat

When pressure in the supply line A increases to the relief
valve setting it acts on the face of spool B, moving it
against the force of spring C to open the valve and the
pressure is relieved into the exhaust line D
