Wheel Drive Motor - Front (4 Wheel drive)
Removal

WARNING
A raised and badly supported machine can fall on you.
Position the machine on a firm, level surface before
raising one end. Ensure the other end is securely
chocked. Do not rely solely on the machine hydraulics
or jacks to support the machine when working under
it.
Disconnect the battery, to prevent the engine being
started while you are beneath the machine.

Slacken off the wheel retaining nuts A then raise and
support the machine on blocks. Remove the wheel (not
shown).
Label the hydraulic hoses to ensure correct replacement.
Disconnect and plug the main feed hoses B and C from the
motor. Disconnect and plug the drain hose from the motor
(not shown). Support the motor and unscrew and remove
bolts D. Withdraw the motor forwards clear of the hub.
Replacement
Replacement is the reversal of the removal procedure.
Apply JCB High Strength Threadlocker to bolts D before
fitting
K Sealing and Retaining Compounds ( T 1-29).
Tighten to the correct torque.
