Adjusting the Parking Brake
The parking brake is adjusted by means of the lock nuts
which secure the operating cable to the brake carrier.
These are accessible from underneath the machine.
1 Park the machine on level ground. Lower the
excavator and front shovel to the ground and stop the
engine. Block the wheels to prevent machine
movement.
2 Release the parking brake.
3 Loosen the cable lock nuts A and adjust either way to
slacken or tighten the cable.
4 With the cable correctly adjusted the parking brake
should be fully applied when the lever is pulled up
three to four clicks.
5 Tighten the cable lock nuts.
6 Test the parking brake
