Transmission Operation - 2WD Series 2 Machines
Neutral
K Fig 23. ( T E-28)
With the engine running, charge pump 8 draws oil through
the suction strainer S and feeds the oil into the
transmission circuit to provide control pressure for the
pump operation. The supply and pressure of oil is
controlled by charge pressure relief valve 7.
Oil flow from the charge pump is returned, via the pressure
relief valve 7 and the motor purge system, through cooler
C to the tank T.
As the pump swash plate is in the neutral position there is
no delivery from the variable pump 10 and the machine
remains stationary.
The machine is prevented from moving by oil locked up in
the pump/motor circuit.
