Service Pump
Removal and Replacement
Removal
Disconnect the battery. Remove the front floor plate.
Unscrew the hydraulic filler cap to release pressure in the
hydraulic tank.
Disconnect the service pump suction hose A and quickly
plug to avoid excessive oil loss. Disconnect and plug the
pressure hose B.
Slacken the service pump mounting bolts C and ease the
pump away from the transmission pump.

Replacement
Lubricate and install a new ‘O’ ring on the pump flange.
Offer the pump drive shaft through the transmission pump
aperture and locate the splines into the drive coupling.
Fit the two securing bolts C and tighten to the correct
torque:
Series 1 machines 37 to 40 Nm (27 to 30 lbf ft).
Series 2 machines 42 Nm (31 lbf ft).
Reconnect the pressure hose B and suction hose A.
Refill the hydraulic tank and refit the filler cap.
Start the engine and operate a loader service to pressurise
the system. Check for leaks.
Refit the front floor plate.
