Transmission Pump - Series 2 Machines
Drive Shaft Oil Seal
Removal
1 Wrap tape around the pump shaft splines to prevent
damage to the seal lips.
2 Remove retaining ring A.
3 Fit screws into the two rubber lined holes in the shaft
seal.
4 4Withdraw the shaft seal B using pliers.
Replacement
1 Lightly grease the seal lips, dust seal and the sealing
area of the shaft.
2 Using a suitable bush, press the seal B fully into the
pump housing.
3 Refit retaining ring A.
